FPPA recently updated certificate and browser application specifications.

Read the following if you are experiencing problems.

SHA-256 certificates

Based on recent industry trends, SSL Certificates with the SHA-256 hashing algorithm are becoming the most widely used certificates. Most commonly used browsers, servers, mail clients and mobile devices already support SHA-256 allowing you to immediately benefit from higher levels of security.

FPPA recently updated our SSL Certificate to be SHA-256 compliant in preparation for the January 1, 2016 deadline imposed by the major SSL certificate and browser vendors.

The below charts indicate the Operating Systems (OS) and internet browser versions that support SHA-256 level certificates. If you find you are running an OS or browser application that does not support SHA-256, then you must upgrade to the minimum version or higher before you will be able to successfully access and use the Employer Portal or the Member Account Portal.

TLS Usage

In addition, your browser application must be able to support TLS 1.1 or 1.2. The following chart shows the browser applications that can be used. All current, major browser applications are configured to use the newer TLS secured protocols. If you find you are running a browser application that does not support TLS 1.1 or 1.2, then you must upgrade to the minimum version or higher before you will be able to successfully access and use the Employer Portal or the Member Account Portal. Even though the TLS protocols are supported on some older browsers, these protocols may not be enabled by default. You may need to have TLS version 1.1 and/or TLS 1.2 specifically turned on.
