This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work directly with study participants, clinical research teams, and sponsors in a highly collaborative environment.For physicians looking for greater predictability, the position offers day-shift hours and an attractive work-life balance, with an on-call schedule of approximately 1 out of every 6 weekends.Whether you already have clinical research experience or are looking to bring your medical background into the clinical research setting, this is an opportunity to expand your career while contributing to meaningful early-stage research.What You’ll DoAs a Clinical Research Physician, you’ll provide medical oversight and serve as an Investigator on assigned early-phase clinical trials. Your responsibilities will include:Serve as an Investigator and execute appropriate Investigator responsibilities for assigned clinical studies.Provide medical and clinical oversight throughout study conduct.Evaluate study participants through physical examinations, medical histories, laboratory data, and inclusion/exclusion criteria.Provide medical consultation and clinical guidance to research staff and study sponsors.Review safety information, including adverse events, concomitant medications, laboratory findings, vital signs, and other clinical data.Assess adverse events for clinical significance, severity, seriousness, and relationship to investigational products.Work closely with clinical operations colleagues to ensure high-quality, efficient, and compliant study execution.Collaborate directly with sponsors regarding study conduct and progression.Support clinical protocols, reports, safety documentation, and other study-related materials.Help ensure studies are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.Collaborate with physician colleagues and local/regional medical consultants.Contribute to the development and training of clinical operations team members.Why Consider This Opportunity?For a physician interested in clinical research, this role offers a compelling combination of medicine, science, and work-life balance:Full-time, day-shift schedulePredictable on-call rotation of approximately 1 in every 6 weekendsOpportunity to maintain meaningful physician and participant interactionExposure to early-phase clinical development and investigational therapiesDirect collaboration with sponsors, clinical operations professionals, and other physiciansSupportive, team-oriented environmentOpportunity to build or further develop a career within the clinical research and pharmaceutical industryWhat We’re Looking ForRequiredMD or DO degreeAbility to obtain and maintain an unrestricted California medical licenseStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDetail-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical research environmentEnglish language proficiencyPreferredAt least 2 years of clinical practice experienceBoard certification in a general medical specialty or equivalent experiencePrevious clinical or pharmaceutical research experienceFamiliarity with the FDA-regulated drug development processMake an Impact Beyond Traditional Clinical PracticeIf you’re looking for an opportunity to apply your medical training to the development of tomorrow’s therapies while enjoying a more predictable schedule, we’d love to hear from you.Join Parexel’s Early Phase Clinical Unit in Glendale and help bring new treatments one step closer to the patients who need them.#LI-SM1EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.
